GP Publication of Earnings 2017/18

NHS England requires that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice are publicised and the required disclosure is shown below.

However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors sepnd working in the practice and should not be used to form any judgement about GP Earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.

All GP Practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in Gosberton Medical Centre during the year ended 31 March 2018 was £ 58,732 before tax and national insurance. This is for 2 full time GPs, 2 part time GPs and 0 locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.

Named GP

All patients registered or registering with the Practice have been/will be allocated a Named GP who will have overall responsibility for the co-ordination of their care.

This does not mean you have to see this GP for all problems or conditions. You will, as now, be directed to see the member of our clinical team who is most appropriate for the treatment of your problem or condition. This does not affect your right to request to see the clinician of your choice. You may however, have to wait longer to see your clinician of choice.

If you do not know who your Named GP is, then please ask any member of the Practice Team, who will be able to inform you.

Patient Experience - Feedback via the Friends & Family Test

With effect from the 1st December 2014, the Family & Friends Test " How likely are you to recommend our service to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment" is being introduced within GP Surgeries. You will be able to feedback in writing by using one of the paper cards available in the practice or electronically by going to http://iwgc.net/ejfen

This may not be a doctor/clinician from this practice. The clinician will need consent from you to access your medical record otherwise they will not be able to see you.
